Welcome to QIQEN.
This website and the related online store are operated by QIQEN, owned by Marco Bollani. In these Terms, the words “we”, “us”, “our” and “QIQEN” refer to the seller.
QIQEN uses the Shopify platform to provide the website, catalogue, purchasing features and related services.
These Terms of Service govern access to the website and purchases of products offered through QIQEN.
By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable law.

Where account registration is available, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You may not use another person's account without authorisation or transfer your account to a third party.

SECTION 2 – OUR PRODUCTS
We make reasonable efforts to represent and describe our products as accurately as possible.
However, product colours and appearance displayed on screen may vary depending on the device, monitor settings and other technical factors.
Product images are provided for illustrative purposes and do not affect our obligation to supply goods that conform to their description and the sales contract.
Information relating to features, dimensions, materials, compatibility, intended use and other relevant characteristics is provided, where applicable, on the relevant product page.
Product availability may vary.
Nothing in this section limits the legal guarantee of conformity or any other mandatory consumer rights under applicable Italian and European Union law.
SECTION 3 – ORDERS
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase.
After submitting an order, you will receive an electronic confirmation or acknowledgement. The sales contract is concluded in accordance with the procedure described during checkout and in the relevant order confirmation.
QIQEN may reject or cancel an order before acceptance where permitted by law, including in cases of:
- product unavailability;
- a manifest error in the price or product description;
- inability to authorise payment;
- clearly incorrect or incomplete information;
- reasonable suspicion of fraud or unlawful use of the website.
If a paid order is cancelled, any amount already received will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
Purchases intended for commercial resale may be subject to separate terms.
Returns, refunds and withdrawal rights are also governed by our Returns and Refunds Policy, available on the website.
SECTION 4 – PRICES, TAXES AND PAYMENTS
Product prices are those displayed on the website at the time the order is placed.
For sales to consumers, prices are displayed in accordance with applicable law and include taxes where required.
Any applicable shipping charges, surcharges or other costs will be disclosed before the customer completes the order.
No additional charges that were not disclosed prior to the conclusion of the purchase will be imposed.
QIQEN may change prices and promotions for future orders. Such changes will not affect contracts already concluded, except where permitted by law.
The customer represents that the payment information provided is accurate and that they are authorised to use the selected payment method.

Shipping methods, destinations and any applicable shipping charges are described on the website and in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery times shown are estimates unless a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed.
QIQEN remains responsible for complying with its delivery obligations under applicable law.
For consumer contracts, the risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the consumer when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods, except where otherwise provided by law.
Where the customer independently appoints a carrier that was not proposed by QIQEN, the specific provisions of applicable law shall apply.
SECTION 6 – LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY
Products sold to consumers are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided by applicable law.
In particular, the seller is responsible to the consumer for any lack of conformity within the periods and under the conditions established by applicable consumer protection law.
Legal remedies may include, depending on the circumstances, repair, replacement, a price reduction or termination of the contract.
Any commercial warranty offered by a manufacturer does not replace or limit the consumer's legal guarantee.

Unless otherwise stated, the QIQEN website, name, logo, original texts, graphic elements, layout and other original QIQEN content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Any trademarks, images, descriptions or other materials belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
Protected content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or commercially exploited without authorisation, except where permitted by law.
SECTION 8 – THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND SERVICES
The website may use tools or services provided by third parties, including payment, logistics, analytics, marketing or other technology providers.
The use of such services may also be subject to the relevant providers' terms and conditions.

SECTION 10 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
QIQEN uses Shopify as the technology platform supporting the online store.
Purchases made through the QIQEN store take place between the customer and QIQEN, which is the seller of the purchased products unless expressly stated otherwise.
Shopify provides the technology infrastructure that enables the store to operate but does not, solely for that reason, become the seller of QIQEN products.
SECTION 11 – PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA
Personal data is processed in accordance with the QIQEN Privacy Policy, available on the website.
Because the store uses Shopify and may use other service providers, certain personal data may be processed by those providers to the extent necessary to provide their respective services and in accordance with applicable law.
SECTION 12 – REVIEWS AND USER-GENERATED CONTENT

SECTION 18 – RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS
Except where statutory exceptions apply, a consumer who enters into a distance contract has the right to withdraw within 14 days, without giving any reason.

Nothing in this section limits any additional rights granted to consumers under applicable law.
SECTION 19 – SEVERABILITY

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

QIQEN may transfer rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship where permitted by law.

The version applicable to an order will generally be the version in force when the relevant contract is concluded.
The updated version will be published on the website and, where appropriate, will indicate the date of the latest update.
